Halle Berry’s custody fight is apparently not over yet. The actress is back in court this week, this time claiming her daughter’s father Gabriel Aubry violated the terms of their agreement.
In a clear play at reducing the amount of time Aubry is responsible for their daughter Nahla, Berry made a bold move in court, which included allegations of past child neglect.
Multiple outlets are reporting that her appearance in court included the submission of a “lengthy court document” which allegedly outlines his less than desirable fathering skills. The ugliest of those claims is that while in Europe, Aubry put Nahla in harm’s way in a neglectful manner.
Details of that particular incident were not available at press time, but could potentially be released at a later date.
Berry’s intent was to have the judge rule that Aubry actually violated their previous agreement, but the judge held off in lieu of his absence. A hearing has been set to straighten out the matter in the near future.
Sadly, the matter has been dealt with in court nearly every other month since the beginning of this year. Back in April there seemed to be some hope that these two would work something out, and shortly thereafter the agreement that Berry claims Aubry violated was set into place.
Only a few months prior, the two were reportedly arguing over who would take care of the Nahla while her mother was on the road. TMZ claimed back then that the underlying issue was that Berry didn’t want to leave her daughter back home, and instead wanted to keep her by her side during filming.
From there it began to spiral downward, and has now gotten pretty ugly.
I just hope for the kids sake they can work something out on a permanent basis. You have to imagine that a child will pick up on these sort of things.
